The power unit with automatic transmission
Dismantling A warning The engine may be removed from the car as part of the power unit (ie, complete with transmission) and then separated from the transmission to the engine overhaul.
The power unit is lowered and gets out of the car. In order to smoothly control the engine in such a way, the car must be raised to a height of 75 cm (from the floor to the front bumper), and mounted on the stand.
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Follow the steps in 1-10 subsection 3.2.2.3. | Injection engines with pre-mixing fuel | 2. injection engines with pre-mixing fuel, remove the air filter. | 3. Make arrangements for decompression of the fuel system, disconnect from the chamber throttle valve fuel hose and fuel return hose (all apertures muffle to exclude losses of fuel and dirt). | 4. Disconnect the accelerator cable. | 5. Disconnect from the chamber throttle body, intake manifold and other parts of the wiring connectors. | 6. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose, coolant hose, vacuum hoses, valves and crankcase ventilation hoses mounted on the intake manifold. | 7. Remove the intake manifold support bracket. | 8. Remove the front exhaust pipe. | Injection engine with direct fuel injection | 9. injection engines with direct fuel injection, remove the air filter duct. | 10. Perform actions on the decompression of the fuel system, disconnect from the chamber throttle valve fuel hose and fuel return hose (all apertures muffle to exclude losses of fuel and dirt). | 11. Disconnect the accelerator cable. | 12. Disconnect from the chamber throttle body, intake manifold and other parts of the wiring connectors. Take conducting aside from the manifold and the cylinder head so that it does not interfere with the removal of the engine. | 13. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose, coolant hose, vacuum hoses, valves and crankcase ventilation hoses mounted on the intake manifold. | 14. Remove the intake manifold support bracket. | 15. Remove the front exhaust pipe. | 16. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the hoses from the engine heater and other coolant hoses, pre-marking the original location of each hose. | 17. On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, unscrew the bolts of the compressor and take the compressor aside. Tie up the compressor to the body so that its weight is not perceived pipes and hoses, line conditioning system. Hoses not to disconnect from the air conditioner. | 18. Remove the half-line with universal joints (see. Subsection 10.2). | 19. Disconnect the gear selector lever cable from the transmission. | 20. Disconnect a cable of downshifting from the chamber throttle. | 21. Disconnect the transmission wiring connectors. | 22. Disconnect hoses from the transmission transmission fluid cooler. | 23. Disconnect the speedometer cable. | 24. Move the hoist lift and secure the bracket on the cylinder head, pull hoist, it was perceived that the weight of the power unit. | 25. Loosen and remove the nut of a coupling bolt of a back support of the power unit, remove the bolt from the support. | 26. Remove the four screws on the central spar, spar remove, to get it out of the power unit. Remove the stop ring mounted between the back support of the power unit and bracket. | 27. Remove the nut and get a coupling bolt of the right support of the power unit, then remove the mounting bolts and remove the support from the engine compartment. If weakened planting rubber pads mounted on both sides of the support bracket from the body, remove the cushions. | 28. Loosen and remove the coupling bolt of the left support of the power unit. Then loosen the three mounting bolts to the transmission housing and slide to the side support. Remove the cushion installed on both sides of the support bracket. | 29. Once again, make sure that all the parts, wires and hoses that may prevent the dismantling of the power unit, disconnected or removed. Also make sure that when dismantling the unit will not be damaged other parts of the vehicle (eg the semi-axis). | 30. If there is a low cart, then Roll it under the engine to facilitate the extraction of aggregate removed from under the car. Lower the power unit, taking care not to damage or hook located next to the items. This operation is advisable to perform an assistant, because you need a little tilt the unit to touch on the body panels. When lowering the motor, be extremely careful. | 31. Roll out the power unit out of the car. |

Removing the transmission from the engine PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Fix the removed power unit wooden bars, putting it on a workbench or on a clean, flat area in the workshop. | 2. Remove the bolts and remove the starter from the transmission housing. | 3. Remove the bolts and remove the oil pan flange-mounting plate, which opens access to the bolts fastening the torque converter. Remove the first available bolt then turning the crankshaft pulley socket wrench for, alternately loosen the remaining bolts to the torque converter drive plate, as access to these bolts. Total four bolts. | 4. Take measures to avoid the fall of the torque converter when removing the transmission, which attach the converter segment of the metal strip, the strip privernuv bolt to one of the mounting holes starter. | 5. Make sure that the power unit is securely and loosen the bolts to the engine transmission case. Mark the location of the bolts (and on some cars and the corresponding bracket) to install the assembly in place. | 6. Carefully separate the PPC engine. If the guide pins in the transmission housing or in the cylinder block freely swaying, then remove them and store in order to subsequently install in its place. |

Setting PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. If the check point shot from the engine, then follow the steps below in paragraphs. 2-7. If CPR is not removed, then refer to onwards. | 2. Before installing, make sure that the converter is correctly installed on the transmission. You can check this by measuring the distance between the holes for the bolts fastening the torque converter to the transmission housing demountable plane, which should be at least 15.9 mm. | 3. Set the pins in the engine or transmission (if they were removed). | 4. Carefully set the transmission to the engine of the guide pin. Tighten bolts transmission housing, ensuring proper installation of brackets, tighten the bolts to the specified torque. | 5. Remove the strip holding the torque converter from the fall, sets before removal. Align the holes in the torque converter to the drive plate and tighten the bolts. | 6. Tighten the torque converter bolts to the specified torque, install the mounting plate on the oil pan and tighten the bolts, tightening them to failure. | 7. Install the starter and tighten the bolts. | 8. Place the power unit under the car and attach the brackets to the engine hoist lift. | 9. Working with an assistant, lift the power unit in the engine compartment, taking care not to touch the parts nearby. | 10. Replace the left support bracket of the power unit rubber cushions, making sure the cushion to pin into the holes in the bracket. Replace the bearing, tighten the mounting bolts to the transmission and tighten them with the set moment. Insert the coupling bolt and tighten the nut by hand. | 11. Install the rubber pads on the right arm of the suspension from the body, making sure the pin cushions into the holes in the bracket. Establish a support bracket and tighten bolts with the set moment. Insert the coupling bolt and tighten the nut by hand. | 12. Ensure that all rubber pads are in place and install the stop ring on the back support of the power unit. Install a central spar, align it with the support of the engine and tighten the screws with washers wearing them. Tighten bolts spar with the set moment. | 13. Insert a coupling bolt of a back support and tighten the nut by hand. | 14. Shake the powertrain, laid siege to the place, and then tighten to specified torque tightening bolts front, right and left legs. | 15. Next, the installation of the power unit in reverse order. | 16. When installing, make sure the wiring is laid on the same routes and fixed clips and staples, and that all the connectors are connected. | 17. Replace the seals semi-axes and set the half-axis assembly with hinges at the checkpoint (see. Subsection 9.1.3). | 18. Connect all coolant hoses and secure with hose clamps. | 19. Adjust the accelerator cable (see. Subsection 6.1.7). | 20. Attach and adjust selector lever cable and transmission cable downshifting (see para. | 21. Install and adjust the belt (s) drive (see. Subsection 2.3.1.3). | 22. Change the oil in the engine and gearbox, the recommended oil grade, liquid and gas volumes (see. Subsection 1.12.7). | 23. Fill the coolant. | 24. After start the engine and check for leaks. |
