Fuel Injection System

All models with multi-point injection system is installed combined fuel injection / ignition (engine management system), often referred to as ESSS (Electronic Concentrated engine management system).

For more information about the ignition system, see subsection 7.7.

The fuel injection system works as follows:

A fuel pump installed in a fuel tank, takes fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel manifold through the filter mounted on the rear wall of the engine compartment.

The pressure in the fuel system is controlled by a pressure regulator, which is mounted on the side of the fuel reservoir.

Pressure regulator rises to an excess of fuel could go back into the fuel tank when the fuel pressure exceeds the optimum.

Gasoline not containing tetraethyl lead

Fuel recommended for use specified in the technical data (see. Subsection 6.3.2.1).

For all models of Nissan Sunny is recommended to use gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 95 (RON).

For all models, with a catalytic converter must be used only gasoline containing no tetraethyl lead.

Do not use gasoline containing tetraethyl lead, as this may lead to damage to the catalytic converter.

On models without a catalytic converter can be used both types of fuel.
