Seals Kit - removal and installation, adjustment of bearings



1. Remove the hub and knuckle.
2. Remove the screw locking plate.
3. Loosen the lock nut, lock hub (photo).
4. Remove the plate and special washer (photo).
5. Pry and remove the slinger, push the bearing bush.
6. Remove the fist (photo).

7. Remove the sleeve bearing
8. Extract the inner bearing ring (photo)
9. Remove the bolts and remove the wheel hub with brake disc (Ch. 10).
10. Press out outer bearing using a press, remove the slinger.
11. Clean all the parts.

12. Lubricate the outer bearing cage, lay the grease in the hub (photo) and press in the bearing in a nave, resting on the outer ring. Fill greased central space of the hub. Install outer packing.
13. Install the drive.
14. Lubricate and press-fit the inner bearing.
15. Tighten the hub nut to the specified torque.
16. Check up freedom of rotation of the hub.
17. Lubricate and install the internal gland

Adjustment

Attention!
For loosening and tightening nuts used a special key (Ch. 8)

18. Tighten the nut with the set moment.
19. Loosen the nut and check the play, which should be zero.

20. Rotate the wheel in both directions.
21. Determine the bearing preload. To do this by hooking the upper pin load cell, determine the force A, under which a wheel starts to spin. Then tighten the nut to 15-30 ?� and replace the nut locking plate. Rotate the wheel in both directions. Hook the bottom pin in the effort to determine the dynamometer, under which a wheel starts to spin. Preload is the difference B-A.
22. Repeat the procedure and have the normal tension in the bearings.
23. Install the snap ring in the groove of the nut.
24. Install the remaining parts in reverse order.
