Transfer case - removal and installation



1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Lift the front of the car and establish on supports.
3. Remove the box flaps and drain the oil out of the box.
4. Mark the position of driveshafts transfer case with respect to the flange, unscrew the screws, release the PTO shaft.
5. Disconnect the wires from the gauge of the front axle and the speedometer cable (see photo).
6. Remove the torsion bars (Ch. 11).

7. Support the transmission stand and remove the subframe.
8. Remove the nut shaft transfer case to the control lever (photo) and remove the rod from the stud.
9. Establish a support under the transfer case. Remove the bolts from the box (photo), slide the box back and gently lower to the floor.
10. The assembly is performed in reverse order. Grease split plane transfer case and transmission structure with the number of catalog Nissan KR610-00250 or equivalent. When installing drive shafts combine the labels put at dismantling.
