Fuel Level Sensor

The fuel level sensor installed at the top of the fuel tank and is accessible after removal of the hatch in the floor of the trunk. The sensor serves as a source of information for the fuel gauge, mounted on the dashboard, as well as serves as a connection of the pressure and drain the fuel hose.
When removing the sensor unit be extremely careful: the inside of the fuel tank becomes open to ambient air.

Repair or replace the fuel level sensor is required to check the float sensor on the lack of through-holes and the fuel inside. Also make sure that toplivozabornuyu tube can be moved by hand relative to the housing assembly, check the rubber seal for wear and damage, replace it if necessary. Data on the resistance of the sensor manufacturer is not listed, but you can check with an ohmmeter to see if the sensor resistance smoothly while moving his arm with a float on the guide. If the device does not show resistance, the sensor is defective. Be sure to check the primary filter and remove any dirt accumulated there. When installing, align the mark on the sensor housing and the fuel tank (Fig. 3.24). The seal should be treated with the fuel gauge.
