Removing and installing engine



WARNINGS
1. If the car is equipped with air conditioning, the engine before removing the need to contact the service station to the appropriate specialist for disconnecting air-conditioning system components.
2. When disconnecting the battery from the memory of the electronic control unit fuel injection system erases fault. Before disconnecting recommended to take readings using a special diagnostic tool to the service station.


Engine removal is performed in the following order:
- Remove the hood body;
- Disconnect the negative and positive terminals of the battery;
- Remove the battery from the vehicle;
- Drain the cooling liquid;
- Remove the front panel of the engine compartment together with the headlights;
- Remove the air filter;
- Disconnect the wires from the cooling fan and the radiator of the engine;
- Loosen the clamps the upper and lower radiator hose and remove the hose;
- Remove the radiator to the engine cooling fan;
- Disconnect the coolant hoses from the fittings on the engine and from the surge tank of the cooling system;
- Disconnect the wires from the generator;
- Disconnect the oil pressure sensor;
- Disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor;
- Disconnect the high-voltage wire of the central conclusion Distributor Cap;
- Disconnect the connector from the ignition distributor;
- Disconnect the connectors from the gearbox;
- Disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor;
- Mark and disconnect the wires between the body and the engine;
- Disconnect the connection with "weight" of the cylinder head cover;
- Disconnect the wires from the starter;
- Loosen the clamps and remove hoses of a cooling liquid to the heat exchanger;
- Remove the coolant hose to the cylinder head;
- Remove the clutch slave cylinder to the transmission housing and secure it with wire in the engine compartment, without disconnecting from it a hose;
- Disconnect from a transmission wire of connection with "weight";
- Disconnect the speedometer cable from the gearbox;
- Disconnect the fuel injection system (intake manifold, throttle cable, connectors from the throttle body, fuel, coolant hoses and vacuum hoses);
- Disconnect the hose from the vacuum brake booster;
- Remove the power steering pump without disconnecting the hoses from it, and move it to the side (to the car corresponds to the configuration).
For vehicles with manual gearbox:
- Disconnect the shift cable.
For vehicles with automatic transmission:
- Set the lever selectors selection lever in position "P";
- Disconnect the shift cable shift lever;
- Disconnect and remove the retainer clip cable;
-perezhmite Coolant hoses and disconnect them from the heat exchanger.
For all vehicles:
- Disconnect drive shafts from gearbox and wire tie them to the body of the car;
- Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold;
- Lift and post the powertrain (engine, clutch and gearbox assembly) using a manual or electric hoists (or any other lifting mechanism);
- Remove the three screws on the right support of the engine;
- Unscrew the bolt support of a transmission;
- Loosen the nut front support;
- Check whether the disconnected all wires and hoses from the engine and gearbox;
- Raise the power unit so that it is free from the supports;
- Pull up and down the power unit from the engine compartment by means of a lifting device;
- Disconnect the transmission from the engine.
General recommendations for the dismantling of the engine are given in Sect. 3.1.15.
Installation of the power unit is carried out in reverse order of removal. Bolts and nuts of fastening of support of the power unit, tighten after installing it on all supports and rocking to ensure its proper landing. After installation, adjust the accelerator cable.
