Replacement seals crankshaft



Front and rear crankshaft oil must be changed each time it is removed, or when removing the front and back covers of the crankshaft.
Replacing the oil seal of the crankshaft is performed in the following order:
- Secure the crankshaft against rotation;
- Unscrew vibration damper and remove the absorber;

- Remove the front oil seal 13 (see. Fig. 3.54) of the crankshaft from front cover 11 of the crankshaft using a screwdriver;
- Clean the hole of the sealing ring in the front cover 11 of the crankshaft and the crankshaft;
- Set the guide sleeve for adjustment of the gland at the end of the crankshaft;
- Grease working edges of a new front oil seal with engine oil and install the oil seal on the guide sleeve;

- Set the mandrel 2 (Fig. 3.55) devices on the guide sleeve and press-fit the oil seal into the front cover of the crankshaft 3, a bolt tightening device 1.
Replacing the crankshaft rear oil seal is performed in the following order:
- Remove the gearbox, clutch and flywheel;
- Drill two holes in the small diameter end of the rear oil seal 6 (see. Fig. 3.54) of the crankshaft, screw them two screws and remove the oil seal by pulling it with pliers over screw heads;
- Clean the gland hole in the back of the 5 crankshaft and the crankshaft;
- Grease working edges of a new sealing ring with fresh engine oil;
- Set the crankshaft rear oil seal using tool;
- Establish a flywheel (see. Sect. 3.2.10).
