Check and adjustment of timing
The camshaft pulley and the crankshaft pulley have one control tag. Marking crankshaft pulley located on the back side of the pulley and has the shape of a tooth ground off. Before installing the toothed belt to rotate the crankshaft until the mark B as shown in Fig. 83, is aligned with the marking on the front cover of the cuff. However, cranking act should be very careful to not hit the piston valves. Thus further regulated camshaft position, which is currently still free. None of the pistons must be in the TDC. The marking on the camshaft pulley is represented as a point, the position of which shall be checked at the point A. When turning the camshaft to avoid collision of valves and pistons. When installing the timing belt in the following sequence: - Turn the crankshaft to position the label in; - To rotate the camshaft until the label A on the outer side of the camshaft pulley is aligned with a marking indicated in Fig. 83. To set the rotation of the camshaft Allen head screw in the camshaft gears and turn the camshaft is very slow;

- After combining control labels set timing belt pulleys on the distribution, leading the water pump pulley and tensioner. If you install the old belt, previously marked to comply with its direction of rotation. When screwing the tensioning pulley should be used in Fig. 84. The slot in the base plate 1 should be installed on the mounting bolt 2;

- Pull the toothed belt by turning the tensioner roller in the direction of the arrow. In the clip is inserted Allen key. The roller is rotated as long as the pointer 3 is aligned with the groove in the base plate (arrow in Fig. 84); - Tighten the tension wheel nut torque of 20 Nm; - Turn the engine on two complete revolutions and check the combination of the two control tags in the moment of the first cylinder piston at TDC. Otherwise, the work must begin again, not forgetting, however, with the possible impact of pistons and valves; - Bolted upper and lower toothed belt guards; - Install crankshaft pulley bolt and tighten it to 20 Nm; - Install and tighten the V-ribbed belt as described in Section. 4.3.3. After installing the belt cover bolted; - Check the ignition timing and, if necessary, adjust it.
Note The above description provides the installation of a gear belt in accordance with the instructions, as well as its correct tension, but no guidance on the established principle of the semi-automatic manual device for toothed belt tension. |
It can be controlled as follows: - After installation and tensioning toothed belt crankshaft two full turns as long as the engine does not come back to TDC; - Press firmly with your thumb on the timing belt at the location shown in Fig. 85 by the arrow. Labels on a tension roller (left arrow) must move away from each other in different directions;

- Release your finger from the toothed belt and check whether the tension roller back to its original position.
