Removing and installing exhaust system

The front section of the exhaust system
Fig. 87. The front section of the exhaust system: 1 - the lock nut, 25 Nm; 2 - pad (always replace); 3 - the exhaust manifold; 4 - heat shield; 5 - bolt 10 Nm; 6 - washer; 7 - the exhaust manifold (engine AEA); 8 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter (engine AEA); 9 - Lambda probe, 55 Nm; 10 - the muffler; 11 - marking at three locations along the circumference; 12 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter (except motor AEA)

Details of the rear section of the exhaust system
Fig. 88. Details of the rear section of the exhaust system: A - a distance of 5.0 mm; B, C - marking the circumference; 1 - transition collar; 2 - nut 25 Nm; 3 - Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter; 4 - double clamp; 5 - pin screw; 6 - the rubber ring suspension; 7 - Front silencer; 8 - suspension clamp; 9 - a nut 15 N ? m; 10 - Rubber suspension; 11 - bolt 20 Nm + 90 ?; 12 - rear silencer; 13 - double clamp to repair (bring to a line labeled C); 14 - Place the cutting tube when replacing mufflers

Fig. 87 shows the front section of the exhaust system models considered. Fig. 88 shows the rear section. All models of the system are virtually identical, except for the front muffler specifically designed for engines of AEA. Removal and installation of difficulty does not matter. Particular attention should be paid to the following:
- Always replace the new gasket between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe;
- When installing the front dual or single discharge pipe tightness to hold a moment of 25 Nm;
- Front and rear mufflers vypuskayutsya series of block. To repair the two parts are sold separately and are available with double clamp 13 (see. Fig. 88). To separate components must be properly cut the connecting pipe to establish a dual clamp. Clamp the clamp screws are tightened to 25 Nm;
- Screws and nuts tighten clamps are usually 25 N ? m;
- When installing the front silencer rubber ring wear, being careful not to stretch. If the ring is too stretched, it is possible to bend the hook on the tube or the corresponding hooks on the muffler;
- When attaching the two rear rubber suspension 10 bolts tightening torque of 20 Nm and then tighten a further 90 ?;
- An outlet pipe for catalyst applied circumferentially in three locations marked. When installing a transitional clamp 1 this marking must be at a distance of 5 mm from the edge of the transition collar;
- Start up the engine, and when idling to make sure that there is no collision of parts of the exhaust system and other parts. If you hear a knock, loosen clamps slightly bend the appropriate pipe and tighten it to the new position;
- Handle fittings Lambda probe special grease G5. Grease should not fall into the groove of the probe body.
