Installation of ignition

Installing the plug is required for the proper connection of the distributor of motor-driven and the spark plugs to spark supplied to the engine cylinders at the right moments. Installation is carried out before putting the ignition timing belt, as well as in the event of incorrect installation or sliding toothed belt (belt jumped over the tooth).
The installation of ignition in the following order:
- Remove the spark plug;
- Put on the toothed belt on the camshaft gears, crank shaft and intermediate shaft (the position of the gears is no role);
- Temporarily install the crankshaft pulley on the crankshaft gear (protective cover is not necessary), and the note on the coincidence of labels on a pulley and gear;
- Turn the engine (using the key on the bolt-clad gear crankshaft) is not match the corresponding labels. We should pay attention to the following two points:

Adjusting the position of the crankshaft in the engine installed
Fig. 152. Adjust the position of the crankshaft in the engine installed: 1 - with a manual gearbox; 2 - with an automatic transmission

- If the engine is attached to the vehicle, it is necessary to rotate up until label 1 (Fig. 152) on the flywheel (manual transmission) or label 2 on the drive pulley (automatic transmission) will not appear in the position (see. fig. 152);

Place position on a groove damper arrow
Fig. 153. Place in the slot position damper arrow

- If the engine is removed from the car, then turn the crankshaft of the engine as long as the groove in the damper is not located in the position shown in Fig. 153;
- Adjust the position of the intermediate shaft (with more slack toothed belt), as follows:
- Remove the ignition distributor to see the position of the rotor;

The position of the rotor of the distributor of ignition when installing ignition

- Turn the gear of the intermediate shaft in the direction of the arrows (Fig. 154) so that the rotor of the distributor of ignition took the position shown in Fig. 155.
- Put on the toothed belt. Now the first cylinder of the engine is set to TDC and in a moment of ignition;

- Check whether the label matched to the gear of the camshaft (see. Fig. 127);
- Again, remove the crankshaft pulley;
- Pull the timing belt (see. P. 3.7.2).
