The sensor 4 (Fig. 202) hot-wire air mass flow type, is located between the air filter 1 and a hose inlet pipe 6. The sensitive element of the air flow sensor is a small metal plate which is heated electrically. Passing by the sensor in the intake stream of the engine air cools the metal plate, thereby decreasing its electrical resistance, which measures the sensor. The greater the amount of intake air is cooled by the correspondingly stronger this disc. ECU converts the values obtained in the signals for the mixing system.
