Check the Hall sensor
Hall sensor on the VR6 engine is located in front of the cylinder head. In normal operation, electronic engine based on a signal from the Hall sensor detects the ignition timing for the first cylinder. If the signal is not received, the cylinders can not be performed detonation regulation. In this case, the regulation of off detonation and ignition timing exhibit with some delay, to avoid detonation. Check the Hall sensor is conducted as follows. Engine VR6: - Disconnect the wires from the transformer HV high voltage and remove the guide wire from the transformer HV;

- Disconnect the electrical connector (Fig. 216, indicated by arrow) of the Hall sensor;

- Connect a voltmeter to terminal "1" and terminal "3" (Fig. 217) plug Hall sensor pads. The voltage should be at least 11.5; - If it is not, contact the service station. The 2.0-liter engine:

- Disconnect the electrical connector 6 (see. Fig. 210) from the ignition distributor 8;

- Connect a voltmeter between the external terminal block plug (Fig. 218). The voltage should be at least 10.0; - If it is not, contact the service station.
