Checking the coil (s) of ignition
In the ignition coil winding resistance is checked whether there is insulation between the windings and insulation breakdown to the "masses." The breakdown of the insulation on the "weight" is found on the burnout or melt out the plastic shell of the ignition coil. Measuring the resistance winding of the ignition coil ohmmeter. Check the ignition coil in the following order. 2.0 liter engine: - Switch off the ignition and remove the high-voltage wire from the transformer high voltage;

- Connect the ohmmeter between terminals "1" (positive) and "15" (minus) (Fig. 215) and measure the resistance of the primary winding, which should be 0.5-1.2 ohms; - Connect the ohmmeter between terminals "15" and "4" (Central Line) and measure the resistance of the secondary winding, which should be 3 - 4 kW; - If the resistance is not in conformity with the values, it is necessary to set a new high-voltage transformer. VR6 engine It is recommended to check the ignition coil VR6 engine in the SRT.
