Checking tire pressure

Tyre pressure gauge is checked and, if necessary, pumped a small electric pump that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. Pressure should always check the tires are cold, as when riding the bus is warming up. In the warm tire air pressure may be higher by 20 - 30 kPa. In no case did not get down with the tire pressure.
The pressure in a cold tire under normal load as follows:
- Tyre size 195/65 R15T:
front - 260 kPa
Rear - 240 kPa
- Tyre size 215/60 R15H:
front - 230 kPa
Rear - 210 kPa
Tire pressure should be checked regularly - every month. If the tire pressure falls to 1.5% in the month, this is a normal phenomenon in a greater magnitude is necessary to establish the cause. Perhaps the air leakage occurs through the valve spool. If tire pressure is decreasing with intact spool, then, using a special sealant, tire repair. For installation of tires requires special skill and knowledge in order to avoid damage to the side of the tire (tire of leakage). Therefore, installation of tires is recommended to perform the service station, which have for this purpose the necessary equipment. After mounting the tire should balance the wheel.

Recommended tools and accessories
Fig. 6. Recommended tools and accessories: 1 - oiler; 2 - a hydraulic jack; 3 - electric portable lamp; 4 - shell support; 5 - a torque wrench; 6 - a small handsaw; 7 - wire brush; 8 - a control lamp (12); 9 - Tyre tread depth gauge; 10 - gauge to measure the tire pressure; 11 - set of test leads

Checking tire tread depth
Fig. 11. Check the tire tread depth

After a run, check the residual depth profile of the tire. Tire manufacturers have made to this small special tool 9 (see. Fig. 6) - measuring the depth profile of the tire, which is mounted on the tire, as shown in Fig. 11. Based on his testimony, you can see the residual tread depth, which according to the Rules of the road should not be less than 1.6 mm.
