Bleeding brake system

NOTE
Bleeding brake systems equipped with ABS, is the same as in vehicles without the system.
Use new brake fluid DOT 4.
The original brake fluid VW / Audi conforms to this specification.
Brake fluid is poisonous. Do not allow brake fluid to paint, as this will damage it.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic - attracts moisture from the surrounding air. Storage brake fluid is allowed only in closed containers.
If you find drops of brake fluid - rinse with plenty of water.
For pumping the hydraulic unit must create a pressure of at least 2 bar.

Bleeding brake system with a device for filling and bleeding the brake system VAS 5234 or apparatus for filling and bleeding the brake system VAG 1869

NOTE
If one of the chambers of the compensation tank is no brake fluid (for example, due to leakage of the relevant circuit), you must first carry out a preliminary pumping of the brake system.

Pre-pumping
On the Brembo brake calipers have two bleeder plug. Perform pumping always two bleeder plug.
First bleed on external bleeder plug.
Connect the device for filling and bleeding the brake system VAS 5234 or VAG 1869.

The sequence of pumping
At the same time bleed the front left and right calipers
At the same time bleed the rear left and right brake calipers
Bleeder plug with a hose connection to pump capacity must remain open as long as the liquid begins to flow without bubbles.
Then, using the ?Grundeinstellung / Basic Setup" again bleed the hydraulic unit using the tester VAS 5051.
Engage the basic configuration (for pumping the brake system).
Connect VAS 5051 and select the function
This is followed once again bleed the brake system.
After pumping the brake system is necessary to make a basic configuration of the pressure sensor in the brake system.
