Stop the petrol engine

Turn the ignition key to position 3 (Fig. 1.109).

After switching off the engine radiator fan may still rotate for 10 minutes, even when the ignition is switched off. The fan switches independently as in the hot engine coolant temperature increases due to an elevated temperature under the bonnet of the strong sunlight.
