PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.

2. Loosen one turn the alternator mounting bolts and tension lug.

3. Unscrew the tensioning lug water pump and squeeze up generator.

4. Hit with a rubber hammer for between toothed belt camshaft drive gear and pinion water pump.

5. Turn the handle to ease spring control device VW 210.

6. Install the control panel between the camshaft drive pinion water pump so that the toothed belt slides passed between the measuring probe and the control unit.

7. Measure the control device toothed belt tension and remember.

8. Crank one turn and repeat the measurement.

9. Calculate the average of two measurements and compared with a desired value. Required value: The value of the scale 12 ... 13 on the meter VW 210.

10. If the average value is not correct, make adjustment of the timing belt.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Tighten the spring control device to scale value 12 ... 13. On the side of the probe from the control unit performs a steel tongue, which caused a white horizontal stripe.
2. Install the control panel.
	3. Loosen the screws water pump (screws shown in the figure on the left and right of a screwdriver). Rotate the mount via a large screwdriver or water pump, as shown, so that the control apparatus white horizontal strip coincided with the edge of the body.
4. Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.
5. Turn the crankshaft one turn in the direction of rotation and repeat the measurement, if necessary, repeat the adjustment.
6. Screw the tension lug water pump and adjust the belt tension generator (see. Subsection 2.12.1).
7. Install the top casing of a gear belt.
A warning If you do not have the control and regulation instrument (abroad, accident), the belt tension can be produced with improvised means. Toothed belt pull so that when exposed to the thumb and forefinger fingers he was braided by 90 ?�. Avoid high engine speed until the belt tension as possible in the near future will not be checked by the monitoring device.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Loosen 1 turn nut spring-loaded tension roller on the cylinder head. Automatically required toothed belt tension.

2. Turn the motor on 1/4 - 1/2 of a turn (90 ?� to 180 ?�) in the direction of rotation.

3. Tighten the nut to 15 N ?� m.
