Substitution coolant

The cooling fluid needs to be replaced after repair, in which it is blended.

Replacing the coolant in the annual service is not provided.

If the repair replaced the cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, radiator or exchanger with the engine - in any case it is necessary to replace the coolant. This is required because corrosive additives during break-deposited at new alloy parts and thus provide durable anticorrosive layer.

In the old coolant anticorrosive additive content is low enough to form a protective layer on new items.

A warning

Drain coolant is not suitable for reuse. Coolant is poisonous.

Draining

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the heating to "warm" - the heat for this shift knob in the cabin until the end of the right.
2. To establish the car on props.
3. Remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
4. Open the expansion tank cap.

A warning

When the engine is hot before opening the lid to cover it with a thick layer of rags to avoid burns from hot coolant or steam. The lid is opened only when the coolant temperature is below 90 ? C.

5. Place a clean container under the engine or radiator.
4-cylinder engine
6. Unscrew the drain plug (1) and remove the coolant hoses (2).
7. Unscrew the flange (3) coolant thermostat.
5-cylinder diesel engine
8. Drain coolant through the screw (1) on the connecting pipe between the expansion chamber and the housing coolant thermostat. Then remove the thermostat (2 - shlangohlazhdayuschey fluid 3 - flange coolant thermostat).
9. Completely drain the coolant.

Pouring

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tighten the threaded drain plug. Fit coolant hoses and secure with hose clamps. Set the thermostat. Screw the flange of the thermostat.
2. Establish the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.
3. Remove the machine from backups.
4. Slowly pour coolant to the mark "MAX" on the expansion tank.

A warning

If the upper heating hose has a vent screw, unscrew it. Fill with coolant as long as it does not appear from the exhaust vents. Screw the screw. If necessary, top up coolant again (up to the mark "MAX").

5. Close the expansion tank.
6. Run the engine until it turns on the fan.
7. Stop the engine.
8. Check the coolant level, top up if necessary slightly above the mark "MAX". At an operating temperature of the engine coolant level should be positioned slightly above the mark "MAX" on the cold engine, between labels "MAX" and "MIN".
