Evaporator



1 - the air filter;
2 - a cover of the air filter;
3 - the top of the evaporator housing;
4 - radiator evaporator;
5 - the bottom of the evaporator housing.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Discharge the air conditioning system.
3. Disconnect the pipe (B) and the suction strainer from the evaporator.

A warning

After separation of the air conditioning system components immediately close the connection corresponding caps to eliminate moisture from the air into the system.


4. Remove the drain hose from the evaporator.
5. Remove the two screws and remove the sealing ring from the dashboard.
6. Remove the three screws that secure the glove box.
7. Disconnect the connector from the thermostatic switch.
8. Remove the three screws that secure the evaporator.
9. Remove the evaporator.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
7 1. Remove the clamps securing the top of the evaporator housing.
2. Remove the top of the evaporator housing.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the wiring of a thermostatic switch.


3. Remove the thermostatic switch with a thermistor and a clip from the unit evaporator.
4. Remove the evaporator.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the evaporator plate clogging and damage. If the plates are clogged, blow out with compressed air.

A warning

Do not use water to clean the evaporator plates.


2. Check the joints for cracks and scratches.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the evaporator sump.
2. Set the thermostatic switch with thermistor to the evaporator.
3. Place the upper crankcase.
4. Install the seven terminals and screw the two screws.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.
2. If replacement of the evaporator, add compressor oil to 40 cm 3.
3. Pump, recharge and check air-conditioning system.

Checking on the vehicle

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the amount of refrigerant in the cooling cycle.
2. Install pressure gauges on the highway.
3. Start the engine, leave to work for 5 minutes on the engine speed 2000 min -1.
4. Check the evaporator for the following defects:

- If the expansion valve is clogged, the pressure gauge reading is reduced to low pressure 0kg / cm 2;
- If the expansion valve is blocked or there is a leak in the evaporator, repair or replace the evaporator.
