A warning

When installing the plug you want to use a new sealing ring.


Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the timing belt.
2. Remove all screws on oil sump.
3. Remove the oil pan.
4. Remove the oil filter.
5. Remove the front cover from the cylinder.
6. Remove the oil pump.
7. Remove the internal and external gear pump the oil out of the front cover, previously noting their relative position.
8. Remove the plug and remove the spring and plunger.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the front cover for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
2. Inspect the O-ring for wear or damage working edges and replace it if necessary.
3. Check the condition of the oil pan and replace it if necessary.
4. Check the oil strainer for damage and replace it if necessary.
5. Check the front cover for wear or damage in contact with the gear oil pump and replace it if necessary.
6. Check the safety valve mounted in the front cover.
7. Check the shape and damage the spring safety valve.

The length of the spring in a free state: 46.6 mm
Length under load: 6.1 kg / 40.1 mm


Installing the front cover

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Install the front cover with a new lining and fix bolts, having tightened their demanded moment.

The length of the bolts: A - 22 mm; B - 30 mm; C - 45 mm; D - 60 mm; torque - 12-15 N ??? m

Front oil seal ring

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Inspect the O-ring for wear or damage working edges and replace it if necessary.
2. Check the spring ring, confining working edges of a sealing ring.
3. At installation use a new sealing ring.
4. Grease the outer surface of the new O-ring with engine oil. The special tool 09231-22100 or sleeve of appropriate diameter, set the O-ring on the crankshaft until it touches the front cover.
5. The special tool 09231-22000 install the O-ring fully into the socket of the front cover.
6. Install the crankshaft pulley, timing belt and crankshaft pulley.
7. Install the oil filter.
8. Remove any remnants of the old gasket mating surface of the oil pan and the engine block.
9. Apply a continuous layer of the sealant 4 mm on an interfaced surface of the oil pan. Around the bolt holes sealant placed on the inner side. After applying the sealant must install pallet no more than 15 minutes.
10. Install the oil pan to the engine block and tighten bolts.

Tightening torques: 6-8 N ??? m
