Crankshaft

Engines 1.8 / 2.0 L

Dviggatel 1.6 liters

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the timing belt front cover, the flywheel and the oil pan.
  2. Remove the rear cover from the cylinder and the rear crankshaft sealing ring.
  3. Unscrew the nuts and remove covers of rods.

Mark the crankshaft bearing caps of the crankshaft in order to set them into place, and in the same position.

  1. Remove the bolts and remove the crankshaft bearing caps of the crankshaft and the crankshaft.
  2. Remove the rotor rotation angle sensor of the crankshaft.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the neck main and connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft for wear and generation. Check the oil holes on the crankshaft clogging.
  2. Micrometer measure diameters of necks of the crankshaft in two diametrically opposite directions. If you have a taper or oval pereshlifuyte crankshaft.

Diameter of radical necks:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 x 57 mm;
- Engines of 1,6 l: 50 mm.

The diameter of the crank pins: 45 mm

The taper and roundness of the crankshaft journals:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 liters of not more than 0.01 mm;
- 1.6-liter engines: up to 0,005 mm.

Inserts connecting rod and main bearings

Check the connecting rod and indigenous inserts the absence of local corrosion, development and other damage. If necessary, replace the pads.

Measuring the gap of indigenous and connecting rod bearings

To measure the backlash of radical bearings and rod diameters measure the crankshaft journals and the corresponding internal diameter of the bearing.

Gap - the difference between the inner diameter of the bearing and a corresponding diameter of the crankshaft journal.

Crankshaft bearing clearances:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 x 0,028-0,048 mm;
- Engines of 1.6 liters: number 1, 2, 4, 5: 0,022-0,040 mm;
- ? 3: 0,028-0,046 mm.

Connecting rod bearing clearance:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 x 0,024-0,044 mm;
- Engines of 1.6 liters: 0,018-0,036 mm.

Oil seals

Check the front and rear oil seal rings for damage or wear and tear of working edges. If there are any defects, replace the O-ring.

Bearing caps

After installing the bearing caps cranked shaft and make sure that it rotates easily and smoothly, and its axial play corresponds to the values given in the specification.

Crankshaft end play: 0,06-0,26 mm.
Maximum permissible crankshaft end play: 0.30 mm.

The rotor angle sensor crankshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the rotor rotation angle sensor of the crankshaft.
  2. Check the rotor angle sensor crankshaft for damage, cracks and wear and replace if necessary.
  1. Check the clearance between the rotor sensor crank angle sensor and the crank angle. The gap between the rotor sensor crankshaft angle sensor and the crank angle: 0.5-1.1 mm.
  1. Measure the depth of the sensor, ie, distance from the top of the teeth of the rotor angle sensor of the crankshaft to the outer side of the cover.
  2. Calculate the difference between the length of the sensor crankshaft angle and depth of its installation.

Selection of loose leaves of radical bearings of the engine of 1,6 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the code size of the holes of the crankshaft in the cylinder block.

Write a letter code size holes for the crankshaft in the cylinder block. Reading Order - from left to right, the first code corresponds to the size of the front opening in the cylinder block.

  1. In the table, select thickness of main bearing shells.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the upper main bearing shells on the engine block. When reinstalling the inserts install them on the same places where they were before removal.
  2. Before installing the crankshaft, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces. Install the crankshaft main bearing shells in the cylinder block.
  3. Install the remaining main bearing shells in main bearing caps of the crankshaft. In accordance with the marking set caps crankshaft bearing with the arrow on each cap should be directed to the crankshaft pulley. The specific sequence of 2 or 3 stages tighten bolts of covers of radical bearings of the crankshaft in the following order: the central, ?2, ?4, front and back.

Torque:

Main bearing caps:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 x 27-33 N ??? m to tighten the angle of (60-65) ?;
- Engines of 1,6 l: 55-60 N ??? m.

Connecting rod bearing caps:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 x 50-53 N ??? m;
- Engines of 1,6 l: 32-35 N ??? m.

  1. Turn a cranked shaft and check that it rotates easily and smoothly. Probe inserted between persistent half rings and crankshaft, check the crankshaft end play.

Crankshaft end play:

- Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 liters: 0,06-0,260 mm;
- Engines of 1.6 liters: 0,05-0,175 mm.

Tie rod clearance: 0.10 - 0.25 mm.

  1. Lubricate the outer surface of a back sealing ring of the new engine oil. The special tool 09231-22000 establish a sealing ring to lock the back cover in the slot.
  1. Install the cover o-ring gasket and tighten bolts. At installation grease working edges and an outer surface of the sealing ring with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the connecting rod cap.
  3. Install the flywheel, the front cover, oil pan and timing belt.
