Installation of camshafts

Pushers and shims must be set to their original locations.

2. Install the chain on sprocket camshaft as shown in the figure.

3. Before installation, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces of camshafts. Install camshafts.

4. Install the camshaft bearing caps. Check the identification label defining camshafts intake or exhaust valves.

5. Tighten the bearing cap torque. Torque: 14-15 N ??? m.

6. Apply engine oil working edges and an outer surface of the sealing ring and a special tool set 09221-21000 O-ring on the front of the camshaft.

Blows of a hammer on a special adaptation to establish a sealing ring to a depth of 8.5 mm from the working surface of the camshaft.

7. Install the camshaft pulley and fix its bolt. Torque: 100-120 N ??? m.

8. The mark on the camshaft and mounting index crankshaft pulley with pointers, the piston cylinder 1 is located in the TDC in the compression stroke.

9. Replace the cover and tighten the cylinder head cover bolts to torque. Torque: 8.10 N ??? m.

11. Install the timing belt tensioner and tighten the toothed belt.

13. Install the water pump pulley and the crankshaft pulley.
