Removing and installing engine and gearbox



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the battery.
  1. Remove the air filter.
  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the reverse gear switch and the engine wiring harness.
  2. On vehicles with manual five-speed gearbox, disconnect the electrical connector from the control valve selection.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the generator and the oil pressure sensor.
  4. Drain the coolant. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect hoses gearbox oil cooler.

Label the hose before removing to avoid confusion when re-joining.

Be careful to avoid transmission fluid drained from the hoses. To eliminate the dirt close the ends of the hose plugs.

  1. Remove the upper and lower hoses from the radiator and remove the radiator.
  1. Disconnect the engine wire connection with "weight".
  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum brake booster.
  1. Disconnect hoses from the engine and fuel return.

Gasoline is extremely flammable, when working with elements of the fuel system is forbidden the use of fire, sparking devices open by fire-dangerous light devices and smoking. Avoid sparking when handling cables and electrical devices.

  1. Disconnect the coolant hoses going to a heater.
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the engine.
  3. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect clutch cable from the transmission housing.
  1. On vehicles with manual five-speed transmission disconnect traction gear selection.
  1. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect a cable transmission control.
  2. Disconnect from a transmission jack the vehicle speed sensor.
  1. Remove the bracket from the compressor air conditioning system.
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.

Soft wire fix the exhaust pipe to the vehicle floor.

  1. Remove the screws and remove the lower portion of the knuckle on the rack.
  1. Remove the bolts, remove the caliper and a soft wire fix it on the rack front suspension.
  1. Remove the wheel speed sensor.
  1. Fix the clamps lifting mechanism for the eye and lift the engine so that the unloaded weight of the engine support.
  1. Remove the engine mounting bolts.
  2. Separate motor mount from the engine.
  3. Slowly raise the engine so that he walked away from poles and temporarily hold it in this position.

Check that the engine and disconnect the electrical connectors, hoses, pipes and wiring harnesses.

  1. Remove the bracket bolts the gearbox to the right wing.
  1. Remove the bolts and nuts sub-frame.
  2. Tilting gearbox, lower down and remove from the car engine together with the gearbox.
