The mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) on engines of 1.8 and 2.0 liters

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the mechanism of automatic chain tensioner.
  1. Remove the camshaft bearing caps and chain.
  2. Remove camshafts.
  3. Remove the mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT). Secure in the grip of a hexagonal part of the camshaft, designed to wrench.

Be careful not to damage the camshaft. Remove the bolt CVVT.

  1. Remove the oil control valve (OCV).
  1. Remove the filter OCV.
  2. Remove the oil temperature sensor (OTS).

Check

Do not reuse the mechanism of change has fallen since the opening and closing of valves (CVVT), since in this case it may be deformed.

  1. Do not disassemble the mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT).
  2. When installing the mechanism of change since the opening and closing of valves (CVVT) is necessary to use a special tool.

The mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Secure in the grip of a hexagonal part of the camshaft, designed to wrench. Be careful not to damage the camshaft.
  1. Make sure that the mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT) does not rotate on the camshaft.
  1. Adhesive tape seal all openings mechanism changes the opening and closing valves (CVVT), except one, indicated by the arrow in the figure.
  1. In opening the compressed air supply at a pressure of about 100 kPa.
  • The mechanism of change of the moment of opening and closing of valves (CVVT) must turn without the application of external force.
  • Air flow at a higher pressure may cause blocking locking pin (no pressure).
  1. When you perform the steps in step 4, hand pick mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT) and turn it in the direction of advancing.
  • After separation of the locking pin mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT) to move freely in the direction of advancing.
  • Moving mechanism changes the opening and closing valves (CVVT) from the maximum position to the maximum delay timing position is 20 ?.
  1. If necessary, replace the mechanism for changing the opening and closing of valves (CVVT), otherwise, turn it in the direction of the delay before closing the lock pin.

The oil control valve (OCV)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Ohmmeter, measure the internal resistance of the oil control valve (OCV). Resistance: 6.9 - 7.9 ohms at 20 ? C.
  2. If the resistance is not correct, replace the oil control valve.
  3. Check the oil control valve (OCV).
  • Apply to the terminals of the valve voltage from the battery terminals: - Make sure that the coil moves forward.
  • Disconnect the battery: - Make sure that the reel is returned to its original position.

Filter OCV

Check the condition of the filter and the absence of contaminants in it. In the presence of contamination and clean or replace the filter.

Camshaft (CVVT)

The height of the cams of the inlet camshaft: 44.618 mm
Height cams exhaust camshaft: 44.518 mm
Minimum permissible height of the cams of the inlet camshaft: 44.518 mm
Minimum permissible height of the cams exhaust camshaft: 44.418 mm

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the oil temperature sensor (OTS).
  2. Install the filter OCV. Torque: 41-51 N ??? m.
  • When assembling, observe cleanliness.
  • When reassembling the filter of the oil control valve (OCV), replace the washer.
  1. Install the oil control valve (OCV). Tightening torque OCV: 10-12 N ??? m.
  • Again, do not use fallen parts.
  • Avoid getting impurities into the sleeve OCV.
  1. Carefully insert a pin into the hole of a camshaft mechanism changes the opening and closing of valves (CVVT).
  1. After installing CVVT on a camshaft screw bolt, pre-lubricated with oil thread screws.
  1. Tighten the bolt on the camshaft CVVT.
  • Secure in the grip of a hexagonal part of the camshaft, designed to wrench. Be careful not to damage the camshaft. Tightening torque CVVT: 66-78 N ??? m.
  1. Install the chain on sprocket camshaft as shown in the figure.
  1. Install the camshafts and the bearing caps.
  1. Establish a mechanism for automatic chain tensioning. Torque: 8.10 N ??? m.
  1. Remove the stopper, the locking mechanism of automatic chain tensioner.
