Pressure regulator rear brakes
Defines the pressure in the brake circuits front and rear axles for maximum braking efficiency and prevent lock the rear wheels. The valve can not be disassembled because then it will require a very fine tuning.
Operability test Disconnect the master cylinder brake pipes. In place of the tubes connect a pressure gauge to the input of the proportional valve, the second - to the output.
NOTE After installation, bleed the brake system pressure gauge. |
Press brake pedal and measure the current pressure on the inlet and outlet of the proportional valve. If the pressure value corresponds to that shown in Figure 6.40, then valve defective. Connect the brake pipes into place, bleed the brake system.

NOTE Characteristics of the proportional valve is shown for the case of increasing pressure (Fig. 6.40). |
Install pressure regulator rear brakes
Install the brake master cylinder, as shown in Figure 6.41. Tighten the nuts brake lines and bleed the brake system. Tightening torque brake pipe nut: 13-17 Nm proportional valve nut: 35-55 Nm.
