Replacing the working brake cylinder
Remove the brake pads. Disconnect the brake pipe from the cylinder.
Remove the two screws and remove the wheel brake cylinder (Fig. 6.51). Remove the cylinder sleeve. Remove the cover of the piston and the piston.

Before assembling the wheel brake cylinder, check the items listed below (Fig. 6.53). The cylinder and piston - for wear and rust. Cylinder - for cracks and other damage. Condition of the contact surface of the piston and brake pad. Status of the return spring. Assembly and installation of the brake wheel cylinder in reverse order.
NOTE Before assembly, wash the parts with isopropyl alcohol. Before installation, lubricate the parts with clean brake fluid. Lids and seals the piston is not re-established. |
ATTENTION Be careful not to lose the steel ball of the drain fitting. |
