Removal, check and installation of the parking brake
Withdrawal Remove the rear console.

Loosen the adjusting nut and remove the arm from the parking brake cable (Fig. 6.55). Remove the switch of a control lamp of a lay brake. Remove the parking brake lever assembly. Remove the rear wheel. Remove the brake drum. Remove the brake pads.

Disconnect the cable from the parking brake shoe (Fig. 6.56).

Remove the mounting ring rope to a support a brake disk (Fig. 6.57).

Unscrew the clips lock the parking brake cable, remove the cables in the assembly (Fig. 6.58).
Check Check the switch of a control lamp of a lay brake. Check the condition of the ratchet parking brake lever. Assess the parking brake cable.
Setting
Check the color identification marks the parking brake cable. Connect the cables according to the labels (Fig. 6.59).
Identification mark Left side: red. Right side: yellow.
When installing the upper return spring, move the control lever back (Fig. 6.60).
Secure parking brake cables, as shown in Figure 6.61. Grease ratchet and pawl handbrake lever grease. Set the cables, and adjust the parking brake cables.
NOTE The parking brake shall operate at the eighth clicking ratchet parking brake lever with a force of 196 N applied to the point of the lever, located at a distance of 40 mm from the end of the lever. |
