Removal, check and installation of the front brake pads

Withdrawal
Remove the lower caliper bolt, lift up and secure it with wire (Fig. 6.19). Remove the brake pads.
ATTENTION When removing the brake pads do not press the brake pedal. |
Check Measure the thickness of the layer of friction pads. Check for lubrication pads.
ATTENTION Brake pads, always replace one bridge at a time. Do not place the pads of different types and manufacturers. |
All four blocks are replaced by a set. When replacing the pads, check the absence of deformation. When replacing the spring carefully remove all dirt.
Check out the old pad on the deformation and destruction (Fig. 6.20). The thickness of the pad: Par: 11 mm Reserve: 2 mm

NOTE Pad wear indicator must be directed upwards towards the piston. |

With a special tool (09581-11000) Start the pistons in the caliper (Fig. 6.22).
Replace the pad spacers, as shown in Figure 6.23.
ATTENTION Do not allow grease on the pads and brake discs. |

Install the lower (guide) bolt caliper and tighten it regulated torque (Fig. 6.24). Tightening torque 22-32 Nm.
