Check of effort steering

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Insert the thermometer in the tank for the power steering fluid.

A warning

Continuously turn a steering wheel during no more than 15 seconds.

2. Start engine and repeatedly turn the steering wheel to the left and right until the liquid temperature reaches 50-60 ? C.
3. Put the vehicle on a horizontal surface and set the steering wheel to the center position.
4. Attach the steering wheel rim and a spring balance to measure the force required to perform one complete revolution of the wheel. This power must not exceed 3 kg.

A warning

To display correctly apply a force to the spring dynamometer tangentially to the steering wheel.

5. If the force exceeds the specified value, the reason for this may be lack of or leakage of fluid power assisted steering, air in the hydraulic system, low pressure created by the power steering pump, low pressure in the steering gear and the air in the tires, so you should check out these sites .
6. Remove the thermometer.
