The steering shaft



1 - a casing of a steering wheel;
2 - the switch of a sound signal;
3 - an arm;
4 - the steering wheel;
5 - damping shaft;
6 - mounting plate;
7 - a plate;
8 - an intermediate shaft;
9 - Cover the shaft;
10 - dust cover;
11 - Rod.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Place the front wheels straight.
3. Remove the horn switch.
4. Disconnect an electric socket from the switch of a sound signal.
5. Put combination labels on a steering shaft and steering wheel for proper re-installation.
6. Remove the lock nut on the steering shaft.
7. A stripper remove a steering wheel.
8. Remove the column cover.
9. Remove the upper bracket bolts of the steering column.
10. Remove the mounting plate and the plate.
11. Remove the two clamping screws on the universal joint.
12. Remove the steering column of the vehicle.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
If necessary, remove the steering lock, cutting a pre hacksaw be cut grooves in the heads of the bolts. Remove the screws with a flat blade screwdriver and remove the steering column lock.

A warning

Secure the shaft in a vise, protecting it from scratches bronze seals, or rag.

When installing the ignition is necessary to use new bolts with cut head.

Do not disassemble the steering column and steering shaft.



Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the wear bushing steering column.
2. Measure the length of the steering shaft.

Length: 604, b ?� 1 mm
3. Check the steering shaft universal joint in the absence of backlash, damage and jamming.
4. Make sure that the connector does not move when the key is in the LOCK (LOCK), and moves freely when the key is in any other position.
5. Check the dust cover for cracks or damage.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The assembly is carried out in sequence, return dismantling.
2. Install anti-theft lock on the cover. Install new mounting bolts for anti-theft lock and tighten them up until the bolt heads are not broken off.
