Power steering pump (FE DOHC)

Power steering pump, mounted to the engine FE DOHC

1 - a nut;
2 - a pulley of the oil pump;
3 - pressure hoses;

4 - the oil pump;
5 - an arm of the oil pump.

Power steering pump, mounted to the engine T8 DOHC

1 - the drive belt;
2 - pressure hoses;
3 - Suction (inlet) hose;

4 - the oil pump unit;
5 - an arm of the oil pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Removal of the pump spend in the sequence shown.

A warning

After disconnecting the pressure lines and return hoses may start to follow the power steering fluid, so prepare a suitable container.

2. Check the condition of all details and, if necessary, repair or replace them.

3. Installation spend to sequences, return shown on drawing, taking into account the following.

1) Set the hoses so that they are not twisted and not come into contact with any other parts.
2) Adjust the belt tension.
3) Pour the liquid into the tank of the amplifier of a steering and remove air from the system.
4) Check for leakage of fluid from the oil pump and hoses.
