Magnetic Coupling

Pulley assembly

From the engine power of the vehicle by means of a belt is passed to idle and drives the compressor in accordance with the mode switch on / off the air conditioner.

The excitation winding

Power supply 12 V DC battery generates a magnetic flux which passes through the wall of the pulley, and creates a magnetic force pulls the disk assembly / hub.

Host disk / hub

When the magnetic flux flowing through the wall of the pulley, passes through the disk and thanks to its change between the north and south poles in the air gap is formed attracting magnetic force, the drive regards the friction surface of the pulley elastic piece with elastic properties, which is displaced by a constant distance.
