Substitution of the catalyst

The exhaust system is installed catalytic converter exhaust. A possible cause of failure of the converter can be leaded gasoline and of unsuitable types of motor oils with a high content of sulfur and phosphorus.

1. Place the vehicle on a pit or hoist.


2. Remove the two nuts securing the catalytic converter to the pipe receiving additional muffler.	3. Print the stud of the catalytic converter from the holes in the flange of the additional muffler.


4. Remove the pins from the gasket.	5. Remove the two nuts securing the catalytic converter to an intermediate pipe ...


6. ... and remove the spring pins from the catalytic converter.	7. Remove the catalytic converter.

8. Remove the intermediate pipe flange sealing ring of asbestos.

NOTE

Installation catalyst arrow on the body to be directed toward the front of the vehicle.

9. Replace the seal ring and irrespective of their condition.

10. Install the catalytic converter in the reverse order of removal.
