The first 1,500 km

Respect for the power unit at the initial stage of the vehicle is the key to safe and efficient operation for the remaining producers announced its lifetime.

The first 1,500 kilometers should try to implement variable speed movement and frequent changes in engine speed within the acceptable range.

Avoid at the initial stage of operation increased stress, leading to the need to fully open the throttle, try not to exceed 2/3 of the maximum limit permitted engine speed when driving on a selected program (red tachometer scale range).

If possible, try to avoid squeezing the gas pedal to the point of overcoming the resistance, leading to activate the kickdown.

Avoid manually switch to a reduced transmission for the purpose of engine braking. On models with AT translate the selector lever in position limit switch ranges only in cases of real need (for example, in mountainous areas).

After the first 1500 km of run speed and engine speed can be gradually increased up to the limit values.
