Preparing for the trip by car

Before we get into the car, make sure that his glass, mirrors and light fixtures are clean. Evaluate the condition of the wheels, look under the car and make sure there are no signs of leaks of hydraulic fluids. Before you start reversing make sure there are no obstacles behind the vehicle.

Regularly in accordance with the maintenance schedule (see chap. Current leaving and service) Check the engine fluid levels (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid / fluid clutch). Also, check the washer fluid level windows.

Having taken the driver's seat, perform the following steps:

The requirements for the physical state of the driver

Do not drive drunk, because Alcohol dulls the sharpness of perception of external influences, reduces reaction and disrupts coordination.

Do not drive after taking drugs that lower attention or increase drowsiness, as well as being painful, overexcited or fatigued.

Engine starting

Between retry the failed launch of the engine should be kept Wait at least 10 seconds, provides cooling starter!

The starter will not operate if not fully depressed clutch pedal (Manual transmission model) / extracted from the "P? / ?N? of the selector lever of the automatic transmission (AT model).

After prolonged shutdown of the vehicle to start the engine may be accompanied by high background noise, which should disappear after warming unit to normal operating temperature. If the noise does not stop, consult a service specialist.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure the parking brake is fully cocked.
  2. On models with Manual transmission clutch pedal and turn neutral - engine start is only possible when the clutch pedal is fully depressed. On models with AT push the lever position ?P? or ?N?, and the way to depress the foot brake.
  3. Turn the key in the ignition and hold it up to the START position until the engine starts (a maximum of 10 seconds), then release the key - he should return to ON.
  4. When ambient temperature is below -18 ? C, and if the car has not been used for a few days, let the engine warm up without squeezing gas pedal.

Normal start the engine does not require squeezing the gas pedal!

If the engine stalls while driving, do not try to move the selector lever to position modes AT ?P?. Instead (if road conditions allow) include neutral and try to start the engine.

Starting a cold engine

The engine is considered cold if the engine coolant temperature is 0 ? C or below. Under such conditions, the engine startup problems generally associated with the fact that the cylinders are "flooded" with excess fuel.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Follow the procedures of preparation for engine start.
  2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal, and about 10 seconds, turn the ignition key to the START position to remove excess fuel from the cylinder - If the engine starts, immediately release the key and pedal.
  3. If the engine does not start, try again with the gas pedal is released.

Pause between attempts must be at least 10 seconds.

Starting a warm engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Follow the procedures of preparation for engine start.
  2. Depress the accelerator pedal about half way, turn the key in the ignition and hold it ? in the START position for about 10 seconds.
  3. After the engine starts, let it run for about 10 seconds at idle, only then start movement.
