Oil circuit

All engines MAZDA 323 equipped with so-called circulation system lubrication. The oil pump draws the oil from the sump and feeds it into the main oil filter. On the discharge side of the oil pump is a pressure reducing valve. At too high an oil pressure valve opens and part of the oil may drain into the sump. Through the middle of the filter cartridge the cleaned oil flows into the main oil highway. It has oil pressure sensor, which signals the driver of insufficient oil pressure. When clogged oil filter bypass valve feeds oil directly to the main oil highway, bypassing the filter. Diesel engine in addition to main relief may have another oil filter. A part of the oil flow branched off and passed through the filter. From there, the cleaned oil flows back to the sump.

From the main oil line depart channels for lubrication of the bearings of the crankshaft. In a slanting holes in the crankshaft oil is supplied to the connecting rod bearings. At the same time the rising oil lines on the oil enters the cylinder head and lubricates the bearings of the camshaft, rocker arms and valve stem ends. Some models MAZDA 323 for better heat dissipation are equipped with an additional oil cooler. The oil filter after the flow passes through the water-cooled oil cooler.
