Check ignition cable

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Too much cable resistance plug can cause difficulties when starting and misfire.
  2. Switch off the ignition.
  3. Remove the ignition cable, for that remove the plugs on the distributor and spark.

At the same time pull the plug, not the cord.

  1. Check the resistance between the contact plug cover of the distributor and the contact tip of the candle. The resistance must be 16 ohm per meter.
  1. Too high resistance to clean connectors and repeat the measurement, if necessary, replace the cable.
  2. Bend the ignition wire in the spark to check for cracks and replace if necessary all ignition cables.
  3. Connect the spark plugs and cables.
