Removing and installing exhaust system
Cars up to 9/89 MY. Cars since 10/89 vol. (option with a catalyst), front-wheel drive  | Lubricate (high temperature grease) |
 | Removing the system will be described in the kit. However, each part of the exhaust system can be replaced individually. Be sure to replace the rubber buffers, gaskets and nuts. |
Withdrawal | - Raise the vehicle.
- Cover all the nuts and bolts of the exhaust system, as well as the joints corrosive rust agent. Wait a while until the vehicle will work.
- Loosen the flange bolts on the rear silencer and push back.
- Detach the rear muffler from the rubber mount and remove.
- Unscrew the average tailpipe, disconnect and remove the rubber support.
 | Do not expose the catalyst shocks during removal and installation, as it can be because of the corrupt. Do not drop or strike a hammer. |
- Unscrew the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.

Setting  | To facilitate the loosening of bolts and nuts of the exhaust system in the future it is recommended to cover their high-temperature paste, such as Liqui Moly LM -508- ASC. |
| - If you install second-hand pipe exhaust system before connecting the ends of the pipes should be cleaned from the remnants of varnish with sandpaper.
 | Especially must be sealed exhaust system for models with catalyst. Therefore, all seals must be replaced, otherwise there will be flaws in the dynamic characteristics. |
- Install the front exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold and evenly tighten the new nuts, do not tighten yet final.
- Unscrew exhaust pipes and mufflers.
- Before tightening the screws align the pipes and silencers, and attach to the rubber mounts. And in such a sufficient distance from the bottom (at least 25 mm).
- Tighten the front mounting flanges back to the specified torque.
 | Do not tighten the screws too much, otherwise the pads are flattened, resulting in leaks. |
- Lower the vehicle.
