Checking crankshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Rinse the crankshaft solvent and dry thoroughly. Be sure to clean the oil passages with a stiff brush and rinse with a strong jet of solvent. Remove the remaining solvent by blowing compressed air channels.
2. The solvent remaining in the oil channels, will dilute the oil at the first start of the engine, which can cause serious damage. Check the uniformity of deterioration radical and crankpins, presence on them scoring, cracks or local erosion. Check out all the crankshaft for cracks and damage.
3. Measure by a micrometer diameter radical and crankpins, compare the result to the value given in the manual. Check roundness of indigenous and crankpins shaft, measuring the diameter at several points around the circumference. Check taper necks for what measure diameter of a neck in places about counterbalances, and results compare. If the micrometer is absent, the measurement can be carried out in the workshop at a reasonable cost.
4. If it is damaged, or if the roundness, taper, and deterioration of necks exceed the established limits, the shaft should be returned to the rounding in a specialized workshop. After repair of the shaft must be replaced by indigenous and connecting rod bearings repair.
