EXHAUST

4-cylinder engine

6-cylinder engine

The engine capacity of 2.0 liters

Engines of 2.2 / 2.5 L

The exhaust system consists of a front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter, secondary and basic muffler.

Front exhaust pipe bolted to the exhaust manifold, which is flanged to the cylinder head. All parts are screwed together, and they can be changed individually. After dismantling should use self-locking nuts and seals. Check the locking rings and rubber stoppers on the absence of porosity and damage and replace if necessary.

When you build a new exhaust system is recommended to replace all the add-on parts.

PETROL ENGINES

All parts of the exhaust system of exhaust gases can be replaced individually.

A warning

When assembling the system components, pay attention to the fact that they are rigidly connected. Otherwise, during the investigation of the composition of exhaust gases can receive incorrect results.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Wet corrosion grease all bolts and nuts exhaust system. Leave it for a while bolts and nuts under the influence of anti-corrosion lubricant.
3. Remove the bottom of the front exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold (158/1).
4. 6-cylinder engine: Remove the oxygen sensor.
5. Support the exhaust system gases wooden linings.
6. Unscrew a support (10) the bolts (10/3).
7. Remove the nuts (10/2) on the threaded plate (10/1). Remove the screw plate.
8. Unhook the rubber feet (7/1) (9/1) (9/2) (158/2) with a homemade hook.
9. Loosen the complete exhaust system and remove it.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installing the exhaust system, check whether the flange is not bent to the exhaust manifold, if necessary, align the flange.
2. Check the rubber feet on the absence of porosity or damage, replace if necessary.
3. Place the new exhaust system, slightly tighten the flange.
4. If you are installing the parts again same exhaust system, clean the sandpaper from residues and corrosion of the joints.
A warning

To later be easier to separate the nuts and bolts of exhaust system, be sure to grease their high-temperature paste, for example, "Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC".

5. Hang the exhaust system in the rubber feet (cushion).
6. By turning and displacement longitudinally align the exhaust system so that everywhere have sufficient clearance from the body and are uniformly loaded rubber mountings.
7. Screw the threaded plate with a torque of 20 Nm
8. Tighten the screws on the connecting flange with a torque of 20 Nm, and the front exhaust pipe to a collector with a torque of 30 Nm
9. 6-cylinder engine, install the oxygen sensor.
10. Start the engine and check the tightness of the exhaust gases.
11. Lower the car.

DIESEL ENGINES

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
3. Spray all bolts and nuts exhaust system corrosion inhibitor and wait until the vehicle starts to act.
4. Remove the bottom front exhaust gas pipe on the exhaust manifold (158/1). (158) - catalyst.
5. Support the exhaust system a wooden rack.
6. Remove the nuts (10/2) (8/2) on the threaded plate (10/1), (8/1). Remove the plate.
7. Unhook the rubber feet (7/1) (9/1) self-made keys.
8. Let go of the exhaust system and remove it.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before assembling the exhaust system check to see whether the curved flange on the exhaust manifold, if necessary, it must be reconciled.
2. Check the rubber feet on the porosity and damage.
3. Secure the new exhaust system, slightly tighten the coupling flange.
4. If you still set the old parts of the exhaust system, the joints, clean the sandpaper from combustion residues and corrosion.
A warning

To nuts and bolts exhaust system can then be unscrewed easily, it is recommended to smear their high-temperature paste, for example, "Liqui Moly LM-508-ASC".

5. Attach the venting system in the rubber feet.
6. By the rotation and offset longitudinally orient the system so that overall there was a sufficient interval relative to the structure and evenly loaded by rubber mountings.
7. Screw the threaded plate with a torque of 20 Nm (approximate value).
8. Hard tighten with a torque of 20 Nm bolts connecting flange and bolts to the front discharge conduit to the reservoir.
9. Start the engine and check the tightness of the exhaust gases.
