Check the operation of heating and ventilation systems

When a fault in the system or adjust the heating in a double valve valve remains open. To determine the cause must be on the queue to check the adjustment of heating appliances.

SEQUENCE OF WORK
"Every year, 15 000 km of"
1. Check the fuse ?5 (see. "Electrical")
2. Check the dual valve: temperature control on the instrument panel, set to "cold".
3. Remove the plug from the valve plug in a lamp of the probe between the gray-red and brown-purple or brown-red wire.
4. Turn on the ignition.
5. In a working system of adjusting the circuit is voltage and the lamp lights up.
6. Contact test: turn the knob to the "heating" - light probe should go.
Conclusion: if the circuit voltage supply is OK, but the fault is in the heating system is not resolved, the reason - a faulty dual valve (internal resistance of 11-19 ohms). Needs replacing.
7. If the test voltage in the circuit is not, measure the voltage in the circuit between the lead wire (gray and red) and "weight" (eg cylinder block).
8. Turn on the ignition. If there is no voltage - interrupted supply of electricity from the fuse.
9. Check the contact "masses" (from the control unit): Connect a voltmeter between terminal "30" and a brownish-purple or brown-red wire connector. Ignition (knob in the "cold"), the device should display the voltage of the battery. Otherwise, one of the defective elements of the heating control (temperature sensor or control unit) or wire.
Check the temperature sensor
10. Previously, remove the trim center console.
11. Connect an ohmmeter between the two contacts, first right, then left sensor. At different temperatures should be the following resistance values:
- Air temperature at +20 ? C - 10-13 ohms.
- At a temperature of +30 ? C arm - about 8 ohms. Otherwise, replace the sensor.
Checking energization control unit
12. Remove the regulator.
13. Connect a voltmeter to the terminals "11" and "12" connector behind the regulator. Ignition device must show the value of the battery voltage. Otherwise, check the supply chain, including fuse.
Check regulator
14. On their own check whether your control is impossible. The authors proceed from the following: if the supply voltage, the valve and the temperature sensor in order, the reason for failure of adjustment in the control unit.
