Removing and installing power steering pump



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Pump the fluid from the reservoir pump (syringe).
  2. Loosen the upper hinge bolt and nut on the front end of the adjusting bolt.
  3. Turn the adjusting screw in the direction of easing the tension and remove the belt from the pulley.
  4. Remove the hinge and adjusting screws, remove the power-steering pump from the engine.
  5. If necessary, unscrew the nut and remove a pulley with a puller.
  6. Install in reverse order, pretest plastic sleeve mounting bracket and replace them if necessary.
  7. Tension belt as far as required for the operation (10 mm deflection).
  8. Remove air from the hydraulic system (see. Bleeding the hydraulic steering).
