Complex operations, possible only in a vehicle with the engine removed



The following operation is possible only after removal of the engine from the car:

  • Removal of pistons and connecting rods;
  • Removing connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft;
  • Removing the crankshaft bearing;
  • Removing the crankshaft;
  • replacing crankshaft rear oil seal.


Preparing the engine disassembly

The engine is recommended to disassemble the stand; in his absence, the engine can be placed on a solid bench at a comfortable working height. If there is no bench, use a wooden shield or tarpaulin postelennuyu on the floor. Avoid working on the concrete floor due to possible ingress of sand.
