Removal and installation of the fuel pump (high pressure pump)

Details of installation of the pump (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see chap. Engine).
  3. Otboltite from the pump (2) the pressure line (1), - loosen the screw connection (3), which must be held by turning the second key. Disconnect the rigging lugs of the power unit bracket (4).
  4. Remove the pump assembly (2), bracket (5).
  5. Release fixing collars (7) and move toward the fuel return line (6).
  6. Disconnect the return line (6) from the pump (2), - ready to collect spilled fuel.

O-ring must be replaced without fail.

  1. Remove the bolts (8) and remove the pump assembly (2).

Pump can not be disassembled! If necessary, it can be removed the drive element (9) (Prepare replaceable sealing ring (10).

  1. Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to replace the sealing elements, make sure the observance of purity mating surfaces and seating the drive element (9).

Worn drive element (9) is replaced complete with the intermediate sprocket drive pump.

  1. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the air cleaner and the throttle actuator to the upper airways (see. Section Service Component inlet air path).
  2. Otboltite from the pump (1) the pressure line (3) and the fuel return line (4), - Prepare removable sealing elements (cone and ring).

Threaded fitting (3a) to be retained against rotation by a second key.

  1. Disconnect the communication line (arrow) from the valve controls the amount of the mixture (Y94).
  2. Remove the bolts (5) and remove the fuel pump assembly (1).

Do not open the pump assembly, - if necessary, remove the floating sleeve (6)!

  1. Rate the degree of wear of the clutch (6), in case of need make its replacement (assembly with the idler gear pump and a centrifugal corrector (13)).
  2. Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that when installing the pump housing (14) intermediate stars were deployed in the same direction as the zero mark (arrow). Be sure to replace the sealing element tensioner. Do not forget to replace all sealing elements, make sure the observance of cleanliness of interfaced surfaces.
  3. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
