Air cleaner and air filter

Details of the installation of an air cleaner (M612)

Replacing the filter element (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  2. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the hot-wire sensor MAF (B2 / 5).
  3. Remove the air inlet (1).
  4. Remove the sleeve (2) air intake tract boost - if necessary, prepare a removable mounting clamp.
  5. Remove the mounting bolts (4) and remove the top section (cover) (3) air cleaner housing (11).
  6. Remove the filter element (5).
  7. Remove the cylinder head cover with rubber sealing ring (6), - the damaged rings must be replaced.
  8. If necessary, remove the screws (8) and washers (9) and remove the bottom section (7) of the air cleaner housing (11).
  9. Installation is in the reverse order - prior to installation of the filter element (5) Clean pyleotvodyaschy valve (10), do not forget to reset after replacing the indication service indicator.

Assembling the sensor measuring the inlet air mass (MAF)

Details of installation of the air intake assembly sensor MAF (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  2. Disconnect the connector (1) the sensor wiring MAF.
  3. Disconnect the hose (2), loosen the screws (3) and remove the air cleaner cover (4).
  4. Remove the bolts (5) and separate from the cover (4) the air intake with integrated sensor MAF (B2 / 6), - check the condition of the sealing ring, if necessary, prepare a replacement item.
  5. Installation is in the reverse order.
  6. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Intake air temperature sensor (IAT)

Details of the sensor IAT (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove protection crankcase.
  2. Disconnect the connector (1) the sensor wiring IAT (B17).
  3. Squeeze the brackets (arrows) and remove the gauge IAT (B17).

To avoid damage to the mounting brackets, do not remove or install the IAT sensor connected to the wiring, - in the case of damage to the sensor brackets must be replaced without fail!

  1. Installation is in the reverse order.
  2. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Duct tract naturally aspirated

Details of installation of components of an inlet air path (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  2. Remove Suction sleeve (1).
  3. Disconnect the air hose from the turbocharger (2), - do not forget to disconnect the power cable (3) and hose (4) crankcase ventilation.
  4. Lift the fan assembly of the cooling system (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning), - do not forget to set the screen protecting the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  5. Remove the hose of the cooling path (5).
  6. Disconnect the hose of the cooling path (6) of the water pump.
  7. Release the clip (9) and remove the air sleeve (7), - the presence of a small amount of oil sleeve permissible explains the normal functioning of the crankcase ventilation system.
  8. Remove the bolts (10), release the bolt (11) and remove the air duct (12) tract pressurization.
  9. Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to check the condition of the sealing ring (8), in case of need make replacement. Track correctness of landing mounting bracket (9).

The mixing chamber

Details of the installation of the mixing chamber of an air path (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the panel (1) finish diffuser.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (2).
  3. Release the snap ring (6) and disconnect from the mixing chamber (4) air tube (3), - Prepare the replacement O-ring (5).
  4. Remove the mixing chamber (4), - do not forget to prepare a removable sealing member (7).
  5. Remove the nozzle (8).
  6. Carefully smooth landing surface of the mixing chamber.
  7. Installation is in the reverse order. Track reliability of landing snap ring (6).

Diffuser

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Open the hood and fix it in an upright position.
  2. Remove the panels (1 and 2) finish the cylinder head cover.
  3. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  4. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  5. Remove protection crankcase.
  6. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  7. On models corresponding complete set (code H12) Remove the auxiliary heater (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  8. Remove fuel cooler (3).
  9. Remove the fuel heating device (4).
  10. Remove the fuel line (5) (see. Section Removal and installation of a fuel distributive highway and injectors).
  11. Remove the backbone bearing mounting brackets (5).
  12. Remove the main fuel filter (6).
  13. Otboltite top support (7), the diffuser (8).
  14. With the help of a hand pump hydraulic pump out the liquid from the tank of the steering pump (11) (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  15. Disconnect from the steering pump (11) Hydraulic Hose (10) - immediately plug the open end of the hose and couplings.
  16. Remove the steering pump reservoir (9) (see chap. Suspension and steering).
  17. Disconnect vacuum line to the control unit of the mixing chamber.
  18. Detach the air hose (12) from the mixing chamber (13), - if necessary, prepare a removable fixing collars.
  19. Remove the mixing chamber (13) (See above.).
  20. Remove the tube (14), - Prepare the replacement O-rings.
  21. Remove the cover of the thermostat (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  22. Remove the support bracket (15) fixed to the air distributor (8) tract EGR (EGR).
  23. Disconnect the wiring sandwiched behind the diffuser (8) (heater, CKP sensor and actuator off the inlet port).
  24. Otboltite diffuser (8) of the lower support arm (16).
  25. Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that all seating surfaces were cleaned very carefully, do not forget to replace the defective sealing elements.
  26. Finally, check the relevant components of the cooling system of the engine for signs of leaks, deactivate the service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID) and clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable from the last pole and insulate the terminal to prevent accidental closure of its grounding point to W10.

    7 - Auxiliary battery

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
  2. Remove protection crankcase.
  3. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  4. Remove the boost air duct path (See above.).
  5. Remove the bolt (1) and remove the rack (3) from the head of the spherical bearing (2), - try not to damage the rack.
  6. Disconnect the connector (4) and remove the electrical motor (M55) drive off the intake port.
  7. Installation is in the reverse order. Do not forget to deactivate the service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE) and clean the memory module on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Turbocharger

Details of installation of the turbocharger (M612)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head cover.
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  3. Remove protection crankcase.
  4. Disconnect vacuum line feed (1) of the transducer (Y31 / 5) the boost pressure control.
  5. Remove the boost air duct path (See above.).
  6. Remove the clip (2) from the turbocharger (3) to the primary catalytic converter (4), - prepare a removable sealing plug (5).
  7. Otboltite oil supplying line (6) from the engine crankcase and turbocharger (3), - Prepare the replacement sealing elements.
  8. Otboltite support bracket (7) from the lower side of the turbocharger (3).
  9. Remove the collar (8) securing the primary catalytic converter (4) to the pipe exhaust system (10) - Prepare a removable sealing plug (5).
  10. Detach primary catalytic converter (4) of the crankcase.
  11. Remove the turbocharger mounting bolts (3) to the exhaust manifold.
  12. Fed up, remove the turbocharger (3) from the engine compartment, along with an oil drain line (11) - Prepare a removable sealing member.
  13. Disconnect from the turbocharger (3) drain line (10), - ready to collect spilled oil, if necessary, prepare a removable sealing member.
  14. Installation is in the reverse order. Ensure that the turbo was mounted on a bracket (7) and without bias voltage.
  15. Finally, check the level of the corresponding working fluid and clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Cooler air pressurization

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove protection crankcase.
  2. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  3. Remove the heat sink (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  4. Release fixing collars (3) and remove the left (2) and right (1) air intakes, - if necessary, replace the O-ring.

The presence of small arms in the amount of oil is acceptable and explained the normal functioning of the crankcase ventilation system.

  1. Disconnect hoses cooling path (4 and 5).
  2. The properly labeled connectors, disconnect the wiring from the engine coolant temperature sensor (6 and 7).
  3. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the boost pressure sensor (8).
  4. Give nuts (10) and remove the support bracket (9).
  5. Remove the mounting clamps (11) and remove the supercharging air cooler (12), - cooler must first be separated from the bracket, then pull up and out.
  6. Installation is in the reverse order - track correctness of the fastening clamps (3).
  7. Finally, clean the processor memory on-board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Models 463.333 (M628)

Air cleaner and air filter

Details of installation of the air filter element (M628)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Pull up and remove the cover of the power unit with integrated air cleaner (1).
  2. Remove the mounting bolts (2), release the clips (3) and remove the finishing panel (4/1 and 4/2).
  3. Remove the filter element (5) and replace with a removable, - track correctness of the landing member.
  4. The further installation is made in the reverse order of dismantle of components.

Build intakes with sensors measuring the mass of air (MAF)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  2. Disconnect the connectors (3) wiring left (B2 / 6) and right (B2 / 7) sensors MAF.
  3. Release fixing clamps (1 and 4) and remove the air inlets (2 and 5) with the built-in sensors MAF (B2 / B2 and 6/7, respectively).
  4. Installation is in the reverse order.

Intake air temperature sensor (IAT)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  2. Remove the fan cover of the cooling system (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  3. Remove the retaining band from the mounting bracket (3), - shroud must be replaced without fail.
  4. Disconnect the connector (2) sensor wiring IAT (B17).
  5. Squeeze the brackets (arrows) and remove the gauge IAT (B17).

To avoid damaging the mounting bracket (3) Do not remove or install the IAT sensor connected to the wiring, - in the case of damage to the sensor brackets must be replaced without fail!

  1. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to replace the O-ring (4).
  2. Finally, clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

Ducts tract naturally aspirated

Left inlet sleeve

Details of the installation of the left sleeve of the inlet charge air tract (M628)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  3. Remove the left air intake assembly (2) complete with sensor MAF (B2 / 6) (See above.) And pull it in the wheel arch.
  4. Remove the cover (3) of the oil filter housing.
  5. Remove the additional heater (A6) (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  6. Remove the bolts (5), release a nut on the longitudinal beams of the frame, remove the frame from the support bracket (6) and remove thermofilter (4).
  7. Remove the bolt (7) and remove the fan shroud assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  8. Set the screen to protect the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  9. Remove the lower left duct (See below.).
  10. Remove the bolts (8) from the coupling flange (9) of the cooling path.
  11. Release the clip (10) and remove the left sleeve of the inlet tract charge air (1).
  12. Installation is in the reverse order.

Right inlet sleeve

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.

  3. Remove the left air intake assembly (2) complete with sensor MAF (B2 / 6) (See above.) And pull it in the wheel arch.
  4. Remove the panel (2) furnish oil filler cap.
  5. Remove the bolts (3 and 4) and remove the cylinder head cover (5).
  6. Remove the cover of the fan assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning), and set the screen protecting the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  7. Remove the bottom right air duct (See below.).
  8. Release the clip (6) and remove the left sleeve of the inlet charge air path (7).
  9. Installation is in the reverse order.

The lower left duct

Details of installation of the lower left path duct pressurization (M628)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  3. Release the air inlet (10) in wheel arch.
  4. Remove the cover of the fan assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning), and set the screen protecting the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  5. Remove the auxiliary heating (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  6. Remove the bolts (14), release a nut on the longitudinal beams of the frame, remove the frame from the support bracket (13) and remove thermofilter (12).
  7. Unscrew the bolts (3 and 5) and remove the connecting plates (4 and 6).
  8. Clamp the low-pressure hose tank steering pump (16) and disconnect from the last high-pressure hose (15), - ready to collect spilled hydraulic fluid, immediately plug the open ends of the line and the process connection.
  9. Remove the fixing bolts (9), and then pull the air duct (1) complete with the connecting pipe (2) from the turbocharger (8) and supercharging air cooler (7) and remove it, leaning forward.
  10. Installation is in the reverse order - if necessary, replace the O-rings (1a and 2a).
  11. Finally, do not forget to remove the air from the path GUR (see chap. Suspension and steering).

Bottom right air duct

Details of installation of the right lower airway tract naturally aspirated (M628)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props
  2. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  3. Remove the cover of the fan assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning), and set the screen protecting the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  4. Remove the bolts (3) and remove the connecting plate (4).
  5. Remove the screws (11 and 6).
  6. Remove the bolts (7) and remove the connecting plate (8).
  7. Pull air duct (1) complete with the connecting pipe (2) from the turbocharger (9), and the boost air cooler (10) and remove it by submitting ago.
  8. Installation is in the reverse order - if necessary, replace the O-rings (1a and 2a).

Intermediate duct

  1. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  2. Remove the throttle actuator assembly with the upper airways (4) (See below.).
  3. Remove the fuel filter.
  4. Remove the bolts (5) and remove the right intermediate duct (1).
  5. Disconnect the vacuum unit (8) drive off the intake port of the rod (9), then remove the bolt (7) and move the unit (8) to the side.
  6. Remove the bolts (6) and remove the left intermediate duct (2).
  7. Installation is in the reverse order - if necessary, replace the O-rings (10 and 11).

  1. Remove the air cleaner (see. Above).
  2. Remove the air intake assembly with sensors MAF (See above.).
  3. Remove the cover of the fan assembly (see chap. System of cooling, heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
  4. Remove the activator throttle actuator assembly to the upper airways.
  5. Remove the intermediate duct (cm. Above), - if necessary, prepare removable sealing rings (3d and 4d).
  6. Remove the vacuum line (1) of the brake booster.
  7. Remove the injection pipe (see. Section Removal and installation of a fuel distributive highway and injectors), - just to the left.
  8. Remove activators EGR (Y27 / 9 and Y27 / 10)
  9. Remove the screws (2a) and remove the connecting pipe (2), - if necessary, prepare a replacement O-rings (2b).
  10. Remove the bolts (4a and 4c) and remove the upper half of the left-hand section of the diffuser (4), - Prepare the replacement gasket (4b).
  11. Remove the vacuum unit (21/7).
