Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the locker right front wheel (see chap. Body).
  2. Fix the engine, setting him on the lifting eyes and hung out on the winch. Alternatively, you can prop up the engine a jack. Remove the rack right engine mount bracket and the top of the right support (see. Section Removal and installation of the power unit).
  3. Remove the cylinder head cover (see. Section Removal and installation of the cylinder head cover).
  4. If necessary, remove the CMP sensor from the rear of the cylinder head.

Handle the sensor carefully; its magnetic end, so do not let him sticking metal particles.

  1. Remove the right headlamp (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
  2. Remove the front cylinder head cover.
  3. Set the first cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke, as described in paragraphs 8 to 10.
  1. Rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise so that the mark (2) on a pulley TDC coincides with the indicator (1) on the front cover of the TDC of the cylinder.
  1. Make sure that the TDC on camshaft sprockets are positioned as shown in the illustration. Otherwise rotate the crankshaft pulley for one revolution.
  1. After TDC at the camshaft sprockets are positioned as shown in the illustration above, apply paint or a marker corresponding marks on the timing chain links.
  1. Removal and installation of assemblage of the intake camshaft sprocket should be made only if the timing phase control is set to the maximum advance. When the engine stopped, the regulator (3) is set to the maximum delay time and does not rotate, because blocked on the sprocket (1) internal pin (2). If you unscrew or tighten bolts assembly asterisks inlet camshaft at the situation described above, the inner pin will be damaged, which will result in failure due to the increased load on the horizontal pin. To install the sprocket assembly to the maximum advance, follow the procedures described in paragraphs 12 to 15. In this case, timing chain tensioner should not be removed.
  1. Replace the hex of the intake camshaft key and hold it against shaft.
  1. Using the hand pump (2) connected to the oil channel phase adjustment of the intake valves on the upper surface of the support ?1 camshafts create a pressure of at least 3 atm to cause the pin to the unlocked position. Hold pressure when performing the procedures described below.
  1. Slowly rotate the intake camshaft clockwise, looking in front of the engine, ie, in the direction of the inlet conduit. Once the assembly of sprockets clicks, meaning unlocking phase regulator or the regulator will start to rotate independently on the sprocket, turn the camshaft in the opposite direction (to the exhaust pipe) to establish a position of maximum advance phase control timing. If there is no release, gently shake the key, holding the camshaft, or very gently tap with a plastic hammer on the front of the firing pin of a camshaft.
  1. Phase regulator is in the position of maximum advance, when it can freely rotate, and the asterisk is rotated together with the camshaft. Thus the label (1) of the regulator (3) should coincide with the mark (2) with an asterisk.
  1. Insert a paper clip (1) to the tensioner (2) the timing chain to lock the rod tensioner in a fully compressed position, and then remove the tensioner.
  1. Hold the camshaft at hexagon head, unscrew bolts of asterisks of camshafts and remove the asterisk. When removing the sprocket intake camshaft Avoid rotating the phase that it is not locked in the maximum delay. Do not expose the sprocket assembly of the intake camshaft force action and disassemble it (do not remove the front screw 4).
  1. Remove the upper camshaft bearing by removing the screws in the reverse order specified in the illustration.
  1. Remove camshafts. It does not allow deformation of the signal plate on the rear end of the intake camshaft.
  2. Remove and place the valve tappets so that then they could be set in place.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Place the camshaft journals ?2 and ?5 in the grooves of a special stand and rotating shaft, measure the radial runout cervical ?3. Compare the result with the requirements of the Specifications and, if necessary, replace the shaft.
  2. Measure the height of the cams a micrometer camshaft and camshaft diameter necks. Record the data. Install the upper bearings of camshafts and measure the inner diameter of the bearing formed by the upper legs and the recesses in the cylinder head. Subtracting from the inner diameter of each camshaft bearing diameter corresponding neck, calculate the value of each cervical backlash in the bearing. Install the shaft to the cylinder head and check end play by moving the shaft forward and backward by hand. Compare the results with the requirements of Specification and need to replace the camshaft and / or cylinder head assembly from the upper legs of camshafts.
  3. Place the camshaft journals ?2 and ?5 in the grooves of a special stand and rotating the shaft, check the runout of its stars. Compare the value obtained with the requirements of the Specifications and, if necessary, replace the sprocket.
  4. Check the outer surfaces (cylindrical and planar) valve lifters for cracks or signs of wear. Measure the diameter of each outer pusher and the inner diameter of the corresponding bore in the cylinder head. Subtracting the second value of the first, calculate the valve tappet clearance each landing in a nest. If necessary, replace the tappet or cylinder head assembly with the upper camshaft bearings.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the valve tappets in their original positions.
  1. Clean the surface of the lower supporting camshaft (cylinder head) and install them oriented in the hole (1) on the inlet shaft and a pin (2) at the outlet of the shaft in accordance with the illustration.
  1. The inlet shaft may be distinguished from the outlet ends of their viewing audio. In addition, the camshafts between the cams and cylinder ?2 ?3 (1.0 l and 1.2 l) or ?3 and ?4 (1.2 liter engines and 1.4 l) are color labels: the inlet shaft - green, and at the outlet - White (1.0 liter engine) or red (engines of 1.2 liters and 1.4 liters).
  1. Clean the working surfaces of the upper supports of the camshafts and set them in place. Arrows on the supports should point towards the front of the engine (timing chain). Props can be identified by the labels applied to them: the letter I or E means belonging respectively to the inlet or outlet shaft, and the figure standing after the letter indicates the number of the shaft journal (numbering starts from the timing chain).
  1. Tighten the upper supports of camshafts: From beginning - ??9-12 with a force 2.0 N ??? m, then all the bolts in the sequence with a force of 5.9 N ??? m, and finally hold on all the bolts in the sequence with a force of 9.0 ÷ 11.8 N ??? m.

The bolts are of different lengths and corresponding color: ??1-10 - black and ?11 and ?12 - golden brown.

  1. Install collecting stars intake camshaft and make sure that labels the position of maximum advance regulator phases coincide.

The pin on the rear side of the sprocket assembly shall enter the corresponding hole on the flange shaft.

  1. Install the timing chain sprocket on the intake camshaft so that the label is applied to the circuit coincides with the mark on the sprocket.
  1. Keeping a camshaft from turning, tighten the bolt assembly and the sprocket assembly from HOLD tape fastening a star with the regulator phases (if installed).
  1. Install the exhaust camshaft sprocket.

The pin on the flange of the shaft should go into a corresponding opening on the rear side of the sprocket.

  1. Install the timing chain sprocket on the exhaust camshaft so that the label is applied to the circuit coincides with the mark on the sprocket. Keeping a camshaft from turning, tighten the bolt with an asterisk.
  1. Make sure that the marks on the timing chain coincide with the marks on the camshaft sprockets.
  2. Install the timing chain tensioner and remove the clip inserted during removal. Once again, make sure that the marks on the timing chain coincide with the marks on the camshaft sprockets.
  3. Rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise to set the phase control of the intake valves to the maximum delay. When this position control and the intake camshaft sprocket must rotate at the same time. Check the fixing of the regulator in this position, having turned the crankshaft pulley clockwise - the regulator and the star must rotate at the same time.
  1. Apply a bead of sealant with a diameter of 2-3 mm on an interfaced surface of the front cylinder head cover and install the front cover so that the holes in it coincide with the corresponding pins of the cylinder head.
  1. Place the sensor CMP, pre-clean it making sure the O-ring and mating surfaces with him.
  2. Further installation is performed in the reverse order of dismantle of components.
