PERFORMANCE ORDER

The oil pump is built into the front cover of the cylinder. Removing and installing the front cover described in Section Removal and installation of the timing chain.
If necessary, disassemble or check the oil pump, remove the lid and remove the front cover of the cylinder internal and external gear pump.
If necessary, alternately measure the gap between the back of the plane of the front cover and gear pump. Measure the outer diameter of the inner rotor projection and the inner diameter of the hole in the front cover. Calculate the clearance by subtracting from the larger value smaller.
Compare the obtained data with the requirements of Specification and need to replace a front cover of the cylinder assembly.
