Removing and installing exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and lambda probe

Components of fastening the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the air intake hose (see. Section Removal and installation of components of an inlet air path) and a locker right front right wheel arch liner (see chap. Body).
Remove the alternator drive belt and compressor K / V (see. Section Replacing the accessory drive belt and the intermediate roller belts).
Remove the compressor K / V, without disconnecting from it a tube, take the compressor side and secure it with a rope on the elements of the body so that the tubes were not loaded.
Divide the front connection is of the front section of the exhaust pipe (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust) and remove the base of the right support of the engine and generator bracket.
Give the lower bolt and move the alternator to the front of the car.

If necessary, remove the lambda probe ?��1, for which disconnect its connector, remove the connector from the bracket and remove the lambda probe with a special key.

When removing only the lambda probe pre-need only remove the air intake hose. Do not expose the lambda probe shock, do not drop it, and do not over-tighten the installation.

Remove thermofilters exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.

Give nuts and bolts in the reverse order shown on interfacing. illustration.

Without damaging the pipe system K / V.

Separated by the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.
Using a steel ruler and feeler blade, measure the surface flatness of the mating exhaust manifold and compare the results with the requirements of the Specifications. If necessary, replace the exhaust manifold.
Installation is in the reverse order. Note the mating surfaces clean. Tighten the fasteners in the sequence shown in the illustration above. Do not overtighten the lambda probe in order not to damage it.
