Service servo (servo) brakes

Refitting

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the GTZ with the car.
  2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the power of the vacuum amplifier.
  3. Remove the retaining clip, bend the tabs of the plastic stopper, remove the fixing pin and remove the plunger from the brake pedal.
  4. Give servo mounting nuts and move aside the support bracket of the control valve, remove the amplifier from the vehicle.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the adjustment of the vacuum booster pushrod, if necessary, make adjustments. Check the height of the position and size of a free wheeling of the brake pedal, if necessary, adjust the parameters listed.
  2. Tighten fixing nuts with demanded effort.

Checking operation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. When the engine is stopped squeeze the brake pedal a few times to reset the vacuum from the vacuum amplifier.
  2. Gently squeeze out a pedal and hold it in this position.
  1. Start the engine. The pedal should markedly fall down. Otherwise, check the operation of the vacuum feed to the unit (see. Accompanying illustration):
    1. Check the vacuum hoses for signs of aging of the material and other damage. Replace defective.
    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the servo unit and running the engine at idle, check the presence of a vacuum hose plugged end of the thumb.
    3. Disconnect vacuum hoses, release the fastening clamp and remove the check valve from the block of the vacuum amplifier.
    4. Blow into the valve from the vacuum amplifier. Air should pass freely.
    5. Try prososat the same air through the valve opening. At this time, the valve must be closed. If any abnormalities, replace the check valve.

Adjusting the pusher

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the servo from the car.
  2. Connect the hose connection on the unit equipped with a vacuum gauge a hand vacuum pump.
  3. Create a vacuum tube amplifier vacuum depth of 500 mm Hg. Art. and measure the amount of protrusion A pusher above the landing surface of the GTZ (see. accompanying illustration). The nominal value is A = 10.275 ÷ 10.525 mm.
1 - the pusher
2 - vacuum tube
3 - the vacuum amplifier
4 - lock nut
5 - tip
  1. If necessary, adjust the length of the pusher, achieving the desired amount of its protrusion.
