Control valve

Brake pressure control valve is installed, or in the wheel brake cylinders (with drum brakes), or installed two valves on the bottom of the body and connected by a spring and a rod with a lever on the rear suspension. The valves have two functions:

They distribute brake fluid diagonally between the front and rear wheels.

They reduce the braking pressure on the rear wheels during hard braking, in accordance with the load. Removal and installation of the valve - it is a simple operation, but the weakening of the bar bolt on the lever requires a new adjustment. To resolve this problem, mark the position of the valve mounting. Fixing a longitudinal bore. Take care to any individual channel of connected pipes. After installation, adjustment should be checked in the workshop.

After installing the valve brake system must be bled.

Valve does not understand in the case of breakage replaced.

You can check the operation of the valve, moving on a dry street with a speed of 50 km / h and carrying out emergency braking (be sure to make sure that the front and rear no vehicles). The valve is working correctly if the front and rear wheels lock at the same time, or the front wheels lock before the rear. The valve does not work if the rear wheels before the front brake.
